Twice the winter fun - and so close by!

Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is a double vacation paradise: on the one hand we have idyllic Altenmarkt (elev. 832 m) in a broad, open valley with a wide variety of recreational opportunities, a cozy atmosphere and top-quality infrastructure; on the other hand, we have the sporty, adventuresome, high-alpine World Cup village of Zauchensee (elev. 1,350 m), nestled in the midst of an imposing mountain world.



Twice the Skiing 
In the midst of the snowy magic that is the Salzburg Sports World, the pulsating heart of the Ski amadé, we find the double vacation paradise of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee.
From here, you are within easy reach of five different ski regions with 270 lifts and 860 km of slopes, and all on just one ski pass. The Altenmarkt-Zauchensee ski area is actually the highest ski area of the Salzburg Sports World, ranging in elevation from 842 to 2,188 meters above sea level, which guarantees great snow conditions from December until the end of April.

The double vacation paradise of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee also reveals itself as a double ski paradise as well. Zauchensee/Flachauwinkl/Kleinarl – snow conditions that are naturally fantastic due to elevations as high as 2,188 meters and state-of-the-art snowmaking technology.  If you are looking for sporting challenges, you will definitely find them on our 108 km of slopes.  But if you are looking for something more family-friendly and leisurely, then the slopes of Radstadt/Altenmarkt are definitely the place for you.
