More than skiing
With freeriding and freestyle, you can get even more out of your skis.
In the past few decades, not only young people have discovered new ways to use their skis. Freeriders venture off the groomed slopes, often into deep snow, overcoming natural obstacles along the way. Freestylers, on the other hand, perform acrobatic tricks on special terrain parks.

Instead of following predefined paths, the off-piste skier creates their own trail. Freeriding is becoming increasingly popular.
Freeride in Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl
Our local ski area offers several opportunities to enjoy runs in fresh powder – close to the pistes and with maximum safety. Specially marked routes have been created for this purpose. For those seeking a challenge, the Schwarzwand offers thrilling terrain with its bumps, hills, tree clusters, and rock outcrops, perfect for adrenaline-pumping action. The east descent features jumps up to 7 meters high!
At our ski hotel in Salzburg, we are happy to provide information about freeride safety, equipment rentals, and available courses.
Freestyle at Absolut Park
From Zauchensee, you can easily access Absolut Park at Shuttleberg in Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl. Absolut Park is the hotspot for freestyle skiers and snowboarders!
